Cubana Chief Priest denies claims Burna Boy gifted $30,000 to his brother, clarifying his family ties and obligations in a viral social media post.

Popular nightlife mogul Pascal Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, has clarified rumours surrounding a viral video showing Nigerian singer Burna Boy gifting $30,000 to a man allegedly identified as his brother.

The controversy began when Burna Boy pledged to support a phone repairer who gained attention on social media after claiming to be struggling, despite his supposed familial connection to Cubana Chief Priest. The repairer’s plight emerged during a public feud between Burna Boy and the socialite.

On Saturday, content creator Lucky Uduh confirmed in a viral video that Burna Boy had fulfilled his promise by giving the man $30,000. However, Cubana Chief Priest quickly responded to dismiss the relationship claims.

I have only one biological brother and two sisters, and they are doing well.” He further emphasised that he has no financial obligation towards his siblings, saying, “Regardless, I owe them nothing. It’s my money; everyone should hustle for theirs.”

He demanded evidence to verify that the promised funds were genuinely delivered, noting, “Make una show workings; na musician you fit even give am verse. I just want to be sure my village boy collect for real.”
