In a dramatic social media clash, popular Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest and Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy exchanged heated words, captivating their followers.

The altercation began when Burna Boy posted a cryptic message on Instagram, which many interpreted as a jab at Cubana Chief Priest, a close ally of singer Davido.

In his Instagram post, Burna Boy allegedly referred to the socialite as “Owerri Rick Ross,” a comment seemingly loaded with sarcasm. He wrote:

“No forget say you be Azaman o. And dem don gbe your plug wey him name na ‘Omo Igbo’ for ATL and na u be next #OwerriRickyrozay.”

This thinly veiled remark didn’t sit well with Cubana Chief Priest, who swiftly fired back on his Instagram story.

Drawing attention to Burna Boy’s Grammy success, he likened the award to the controversies surrounding American rapper Diddy.

“Diddy oil the fastest way to PTSD. You never see anything, you & your bend down collect Grammy. The Ferraris, London jewellers’ debt. I am coming. I have long waited for this moment. Osubrileeee oooo.”

The fiery exchange has since gone viral, sparking debates among fans of both personalities. Some believe Burna’s comments were an unprovoked attack, while others view Chief Priest’s response as a calculated clapback.

This isn’t the first time Nigerian celebrities have engaged in public disputes, but the tension between Burna Boy and Cubana Chief Priest adds another layer to the ongoing dynamics between prominent figures in the entertainment industry.
