Speaking candidly on *The Breakfast Club*, the “Fem” hitmaker disclosed that while he once enjoyed close personal ties with both artists, those connections have since evolved.

“I don’t have a personal relationship with them [Wizkid and Burna Boy]. I did at some point in time,” Davido stated, addressing the frequent speculation surrounding the trio’s interactions.

He emphasised that the narrative surrounding Afrobeats’ global ascent has now expanded beyond the often-cited “Big 3.”

“The conversation is bigger than the ‘Big 3’ right now; there’s Rema, there’s Ayra Starr and other artists. Right now, I think the three of us understand that it is bigger than us,” he elaborated, highlighting the emergence of a new generation of Nigerian talent. This Davido Afrobeats relationship conversation reflects a broader evolution within the industry.

Beyond his comments on Wizkid and Burna Boy, Davido also addressed his reported disagreements with fellow singer Tiwa Savage, clarifying their relationship. He characterised their rift as a typical sibling squabble, assuring listeners of their enduring bond.

“Tiwa Savage is my sister for life. I love her and her child, we are family. Our fight is just like a brother and sister’s fight. I will never allow anything to happen to her,” he affirmed, dispelling any notions of a permanent fallout.

Davido’s comments provide insight into the complex and evolving dynamics within the Nigerian music scene, as Afrobeats continues its global rise. His acknowledgement of the expanding landscape of talent underscores the genre’s growth and diversification.
