The Nollywood actress, who is contesting for the position of Vice President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Southwest, shared the message on her Instagram page.

Amusa advised her followers to stop living to please people, stressing that individuals are not responsible for the happiness of others. She said setting boundaries was essential to protect one’s peace of mind.

“Stop saying yes to everything and everyone. Stop agreeing with people just so you don’t upset them. You are not a pushover. You were not born to be stressed and miserable so others can be relaxed and happy,” she wrote.

She added that no one should feel guilty for making decisions that safeguard their well-being, even if it means disappointing others.

According to her, “The world owes us nothing. We are where we are because of our decisions, not because of our circumstances. Stop whining and start taking responsibility for yourself.”

Her message has since resonated with many of her fans, sparking conversations on self-worth, mental health and the importance of personal boundaries.
