Habibat Jinad and Odunlade Adekola story trends as the actress recounts the actor’s touching support during a financial struggle

Nollywood actress Habibat Jinad has emotionally recounted how fellow actor Odunlade Adekola supported her during one of the most difficult moments of her early producing career.

Speaking in an interview with Jeff Omolewa TV, Habibat Jinad revealed that Odunlade Adekola came to her rescue after another actor allegedly embarrassed her on a movie set over payment issues.

According to the Yoruba actress, she had persuaded Odunlade Adekola to feature in her movie for a reduced fee of N130,000.

After filming his scenes, another actor on the production reportedly became upset after discovering Odunlade’s involvement and demanded full payment before continuing with the shoot.

Habibat Jinad said the incident left her devastated as she chased after the actor’s car while pleading with him to remain on set.

“I begged Odunlade to accept N130,000 from me to star in my movie. He accepted it, and when we got to the location, we acted out a scene, and he left,” she said.

The actress explained that the experience became a powerful lesson that strengthened her resolve as a filmmaker.

The following day, Odunlade Adekola reportedly noticed her emotional state and asked what was wrong.

After hearing about her financial difficulties, the actor allegedly handed her N20,000 without expecting repayment.

“To my surprise, he gave me N20,000 without asking for a return. Brother Odun, God bless you. If I remember what I did, my heart prays for him,” Habibat Jinad added.

The touching revelation has sparked reactions from fans online, with many praising Odunlade Adekola for his generosity and humility within the Yoruba movie industry.

Habibat Jinad along with Odunlade Adekola story comes amid a series of personal revelations from the actress in recent months.

Just days earlier, Habibat Jinad joked online about wanting to join people who engage in “eye service”, admitting that she struggles to fake appearances or lifestyles.

The actress also previously alleged that colleague Mide Martins once mocked her skin colour on a movie set, an incident she said deeply affected her confidence at the time.
