Ijebu appeals to BBNaija winner Imisi to reconcile with her mother, urging her to end their social media feud and seek peace after public tension

The appeal was made in a video shared on the comic actor’s Instagram page on Sunday.

The feud escalated shortly after Imisi claimed the N150 million BBNaija prize, when her mother released a viral video accusing her daughter of abandoning her.

Imisi, however, dismissed the allegations, stating that their relationship had been strained long before her reality show win.

She recounted a difficult childhood, including being sent out of the house at age 11, selling fufu to survive, and suffering sexual abuse that led to an abortion at 13.

“Before I won BBNaija, you would not even call me for one or two years,” Imisi said, questioning her mother’s sudden public outcry.

She added that she had still sent money to her mother shortly before the feud erupted and explained that she could not shoulder the expectations of over 100 family members now looking up to her.

Reacting to the controversy, Ijebu urged Imisi to take the first step toward peace. “Imisi, I know you are a good girl. The Bible says we should honour our parents,” he said in the video.

“This evening or tomorrow morning, visit your mother, go on your knees, hold her legs, and tell her you are sorry. Let her pray for you. No matter what she has done, she is still your mini-god.”
