Kiitan Bukola marriage fears

Nollywood actress Kiitan Bukola shares her fears about marriage, revealing how her childhood shaped her desire for a loving and stable home.

Nollywood actress Kiitan Bukola has opened up about her fears surrounding marriage, citing her childhood experiences as a significant influence.

Speaking on the latest episode of the Talk to B podcast, Bukola revealed that growing up without a father’s love and care has shaped her outlook on relationships and family life.

Reflecting on her upbringing, she shared, “I don’t have a father who cared how I wanted it. Like, I didn’t enjoy the love of father to mother together.

So, it hurts me a lot. I never lived together with my parents. The funny thing is that I don’t know some of my father’s children because we are close to fourteen.”

Her apprehensions about marriage stem from a deep desire to give her children the stable and loving home she lacked.

“I don’t want my children to grow up without fatherly care or in a separate home. I want them to experience the love of both parents,” she said.

Despite her fears, Bukola expressed her hope for marriage, outlining her ideal partner as someone understanding, prayerful, and supportive of her career.

“I love marriage, but I’m scared of it at the same time. My ideal man is very understanding and prayerful. I don’t want stress.

I want someone I can call my best friend, who understands the difference between my job and our home,” she explained.

Bukola also recounted a past relationship where her partner’s lack of support for her career added to her concerns. “I once dated someone who would tell me to return money for a job on a day I’m supposed to go to set,” she recalled.

The actress, who announced her engagement in November 2022, saw the relationship end just two months later due to alleged infidelity. This experience has further reinforced her cautious approach to marriage.
