Nigerian actress Lizzy Anjorin has denied reports of her arrest over alleged defamation of character, refuting claims circulating on social media.

The viral story, first shared by influencer Esabod on Instagram, claimed that Anjorin had been detained following a petition by Nollywood stars Toyin Abraham, Iyabo Ojo, and Dayo Amusa, and remanded at Alagbon Police Station in Lagos.

Reacting to the report on Sunday evening, Lizzy Anjorin posted on her Instagram page: “Believe Esabod and Iyabo Ojo at your own risk,” dismissing the rumours as false.

The actress’ statement appears to have calmed her followers, while social media users continue to debate the credibility of the initial claims. No official police statement has confirmed the alleged arrest.
