Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush reveals Burna Boy as his favourite musician, Ronaldinho as his football idol, and his passion for padel

 

Manchester City’s new signing, Omar Marmoush, has shared insights into his personal life and interests, including his love for music and childhood inspirations.

The Egyptian forward, who joined City from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, revealed in a club interview that his favourite musician is Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy. When asked, “Who is your favourite musician?” Marmoush confidently replied, “Burna Boy.”

The 24-year-old also spoke about his childhood football idol, naming former Brazil international Ronaldinho as a player he greatly admired. “He was an inspiration growing up,” Marmoush shared.

Outside football, Marmoush enjoys padel, a racquet sport that combines elements of tennis and squash, as his favourite pastime.

When discussing his style of play, the forward described his top three attributes as “dribbling, fast, and dangerous,” qualities that have earned him praise on the pitch.

Marmoush’s arrival at Manchester City has generated excitement among fans, with his dynamic playing style and off-pitch charisma promising to make him a standout figure at the club.
