Mercy Johnson condemns the arrest of Regina Daniels’ brother, questioning Nigeria’s justice system after his reported detention by Senator Ned Nwoko

Mercy Johnson has expressed deep concern over the alleged arrest and detention of Regina Daniels’ elder brother, Sammy West, by her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Reports suggest that Sammy West was arrested in Lagos on Sunday over his alleged involvement in the couple’s ongoing marital dispute. The development comes barely a week after Regina Daniels publicly accused her husband of domestic violence and filed for divorce.

Reacting to the situation, Mercy Johnson, who is regarded as Regina Daniels’ godmother, took to social media to question the fairness of the justice system, describing the incident as disturbing and unjust.

“The worst form of injustice is pretended justice,” she wrote. “A child was arrested, and no one has been allowed to see him for two days. He was flown from Lagos to Abuja and is allegedly being taken to court from the airport. How did we get here? Nigeria… wow.”

The actress’s statement has since drawn significant attention online, with fans and colleagues commending her for speaking out against what many described as “abuse of power.”
