In a now-viral interview, Omoba Sanjay recounted how he was once mentored by Odunlade Adekola and considered him both a boss and a friend.

The actor explained that the tension began after a routine interaction that never led to promised opportunities. He stated:
“Odunlade Adekola offended me, and I’m pained. He told me anytime he needed me, he would call me for jobs. He called me aside that day, but since then, I didn’t see his calls or anything.”

Omoba Sanjay further detailed a pivotal meeting following what he described as a “graduation” from Odunlade’s mentorship programme.

He claimed the gathering marked a turning point:
“He later called us for a meeting and said we should leave because he wanted to groom new people,” he said, describing how this decision led to a prolonged period of silence.

“For like three years, they didn’t call me for jobs,” he added, highlighting the impact on his career trajectory.

The actor also addressed rumours surrounding his personal life, specifically claims questioning his suitability as the father of Yoruba actress Bukola Adeeyo’s child.

He alleged that some people labelled him unfairly as unworthy and even a cultist, questioning what the actress saw in him.
