Speaking on his Instagram page, Agu emphasised that marriage does not define a woman’s worth or completeness.

“The best advice I can give you as a lady before you embark on the journey of marriage is be a complete woman before you marry. Establish yourself as a woman before you marry. Make sure you are mentally, physically, spiritually and financially stable,” he said.

The actor highlighted that marriage should complement a woman’s life, not complete it. Agu warned against total reliance on a husband, noting that financial or personal instability could lead to serious challenges, especially in cases of divorce, widowhood, or strained relations with in-laws.

“Before you marry, build yourself up. Even if you are not financially stable, at least make sure you have something doing. Have a business idea, or proper insight of independence.

God forbid if your husband divorces you or dies, and you have nothing of your own,” Agu explained.

He urged women to invest in themselves, their skills, and their passions, asserting that a sense of self-worth and financial autonomy provides security and resilience in any marriage.
