Muyiwa Ademola tribute Taiwo Adegbodu was shared in a video from the solemn gathering, which drew family members, friends, and colleagues from the Nigerian film industry.

The actor described the late singer as one of the most talented voices he had ever encountered.

“A night of tribute to late Taiwo Adegbodu. A moment of reflection and thanksgiving,” Muyiwa Ademola said. “The world lost one of the most talented singers I’ve ever known. May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace.”

The service provided a moment of reflection for attendees, many of whom expressed grief while also offering prayers for the repose of the singer’s soul.

Muyiwa Ademola noted that although the loss was deeply painful, there was comfort in the belief that the deceased had found peace.

The late Taiwo Adegbodu, a gospel singer and one half of a twin, was reported to have died earlier this month in the middle of the night, according to family sources.

Tributes have continued to pour in from across the entertainment and gospel music communities.

Comedian and preacher Woli Arole visited the family, where he spent time praying and encouraging relatives, urging the public to remember them in prayers.

Gospel musician Yinka Ayefele was also seen in an emotional moment at the family home, visibly overwhelmed as he mourned the loss.

The passing of Taiwo Adegbodu adds to a growing list of recent losses within Nigeria’s gospel music scene.

Earlier in March, singer Onos Brisibi died at the age of 55 after a prolonged illness, a development that sent shockwaves through the industry.

Actor Richard Mofe-Damijo paid tribute to his late cousin, reflecting on cherished memories and her enduring spirit.

In January, gospel singer Bunmi Akinaanu also passed away after a period of illness, while the earlier death of Aduke Gold further deepened the sense of loss within the music community.
