Nollywood actress and media personality Nancy Isime has urged the Federal Government to take decisive action to protect children in distress, using a visit to her home state of Edo to highlight the need for improved welfare, education and safety for young Nigerians.

Isime made the appeal in an Instagram post on Tuesday while sharing moments from a recent trip to Edo State, which she described as her first opportunity to fully reconnect with her roots.

The actress expressed gratitude to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo, Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa and other government officials for hosting her during the visit.

Concern mounts over children in distress as Nancy Isime speaks out as concerns continue to grow over the welfare of vulnerable children across the country.

The actress said every child deserves the opportunity to live in safety, receive an education and enjoy a happy childhood.

“I’m also taking this opportunity to call on the Federal Government to come to the rescue of our children in distress. Every child deserves to be happy, educated and safe,” Isime wrote.

The visit carried personal significance for the actress, who proudly described herself as a true daughter of Edo State.

Isime said the experience exceeded her expectations and allowed her to connect more deeply with students, educators and local communities.

A notable highlight of the trip was her engagement with schoolchildren across several educational institutions, where she encouraged young people to embrace learning and aspire to a brighter future.
