The agency made the announcement via its official Instagram account on Friday, naming the musician, whose real name is Darlington Okoye, as wanted in connection with a series of serious allegations. These include rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.

The statement from NAPTIP read: “WANTED BY NAPTIP. Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, is wanted in connection with alleged offences including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.

Anyone with credible information on his whereabouts is urged to contact NAPTIP immediately. Call: 07030000203, [info@naptip.gov.ng](mailto:info@naptip.gov.ng).”

The agency had previously extended an invitation to the entertainer for questioning. This followed widespread outrage over a live Instagram video in which he claimed to have had sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl. Speed Darlington failed to honour that invitation, prompting the agency to escalate the matter.

While the entertainer has yet to respond publicly to the allegations or the wanted declaration, his social media activity has drawn growing scrutiny in recent months. Legal experts have also weighed in, describing the video content as potentially criminal and deeply disturbing.

A spokesperson for NAPTIP reiterated the agency’s commitment to pursuing all allegations of abuse, particularly those involving minors and digital exploitation. “This case represents a critical moment in our ongoing efforts to combat online harm and protect vulnerable citizens,” the official said.

The agency is now calling on the public to assist in locating Okoye, encouraging anyone with credible information to reach out through its dedicated phone line or email address.

The development has ignited widespread reactions across social media and public forums, with many demanding accountability and swift justice if the allegations are proven true.

As the investigation continues, Speed Darlington’s failure to engage with the authorities has cast a shadow over his career, with growing calls for digital platforms to review their policies regarding content shared by high-profile users.
