Renowned Nollywood actress, Ireti Doyle, has shed light on the conditions under which she would consider taking on a nude role in a film. During her appearance on the Terms And Conditions podcast, the 56-year-old thespian emphasized that the script must ethically justify the need for nudity in the story.

Doyle was resolute in expressing that she would not entertain gratuitous nudity for the sole purpose of garnering publicity or commercial success. She emphasized, “If you expect me to go nude in a film, the script would have to justify it. If it was for sheer sensationalism and click baits, absolutely no.”

Furthermore, Doyle articulated that she would be open to considering nudity if it served the authentic portrayal of sensitive issues such as rape or abuse. Nollywood actress Obey Etok Chima has sadly experienced the loss of her father, occurring just hours before the scheduled burial of her husband.

Taking to her social media platforms, the actress shared the heartbreaking news of her father’s passing.

On Facebook, Obey revealed that her father departed in the early hours of Thursday morning, lamenting the timing as it coincided with the eve of her husband’s funeral.

Expressing her grief, she wrote, “What a tragedy, 2024. I just lost my dad early hours of yesterday 11th April. Just a day to bury my husband. It is well.”

Nollywood actress Ini Edo has responded to the tragic death of her colleague, Junior Pope Odonwodo, famously known as Junior Pope, who lost his life in a river while filming a movie.

Expressing her anger, Ini criticized the inadequate structure of the industry, which she believes was responsible for to such tragedies.

She mourned the loss of the actor and emphasized that his death should serve as a wake-up call for the implementation of proper regulations and structures to ensure safety during productions.

“Jnr Pope did not have to sacrifice his life for nollywood to realize the need for a long and much needed regulatory structure that would safeguard an entire production . Yes .. every one is a producer now and all are guilty of negligence of some sort.. and this has to stop. This is one sacrifice too many and must count for something … The system has to undergo a total overhaul with practical rules and regulations that caters to everyone in cases of emergencies…. I will never understand why the good ones go so soon‍♀️
