Omotunde Ogundimu cancer battle continues as the Nollywood actress seeks financial help for further treatment after battling the illness since 2024

Nollywood actress Omotunde Ogundimu has made an emotional appeal for financial assistance as she continues her cancer battle, revealing on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, that she has been receiving treatment for cervical cancer since 2024.

Ogundimu made the disclosure during an interview with media personality Biola Adebayo, where the actress became emotional while speaking about her health challenges and the financial strain of prolonged treatment.

The actress said the treatment she has undergone has also left her experiencing painful side effects.

“I have been battling cervical cancer since 2024,” Ogundimu said. “The treatment I received also has side effects such as my buttock hurting me when I go to urinate.”

Ogundimu said the prolonged struggle had left her exhausted and longing for a return to a more peaceful life.

“I just want to be okay. I am exhausted. I want a peaceful life,” she said.

The actress further revealed that she still requires medical treatment but is struggling to raise the money needed to continue her care.

With tears in her eyes, Ogundimu appealed directly to Nigerians for assistance, saying she had become uncertain about where to turn for financial support.

“I plead with Nigerians to have mercy on me,” she said.

“I still need to be treated, please have mercy on me. I don’t know who to call and where to get money from again. Please just help me.”

Her plea has generated sympathy online, with Nigerians responding with prayers and messages of encouragement as she continues to seek medical attention.

Ogundimu’s situation also reflects the difficult financial realities that can accompany prolonged medical treatment, particularly when patients require continued care over an extended period.

The actress has remained open about her struggle as she seeks support to continue treatment and improve her health.
