In a recent interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music, Davido recounted the period of his absence, noting the widespread sentiment among both his fans and even his critics who urged his return to online platforms.

“I knew that people love me because when I was not active online, the whole [Nigerian music] industry was shut down. I was seeing tweets like, ‘We do love him’, ‘It’s so quiet out here’, ‘Davido come back.’ Even the fans who hate me were like, ‘Please, come back, we need to bash you’,” the “Timeless” crooner revealed.
