Opeyemi Aiyeola insecurity appeal urges celebrities and traditional rulers to speak out on rising attacks and kidnappings in Oyo State

Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has appealed to celebrities, traditional rulers, and influential Nigerians to speak out over the worsening insecurity in Oyo State and other parts of Yorubaland.

Opeyemi Aiyeola Appeals for Public Voices on Insecurity was made in a video shared on her Instagram page, where the actress expressed concern over the growing wave of attacks and kidnappings affecting communities in the region.

Aiyeola urged public figures with influence, platforms, and political connections not to remain silent while fear continues to spread among residents.

She warned that the security crisis should not be ignored because of political activities ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that the situation has become dangerously close to home.

In her emotional message, the actress mentioned several prominent personalities and traditional leaders, including Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Rasidi Ladoja, Eniola Badmus, Laide Bakare, Desmond Elliot, Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.

She appealed to them to use their social media pages, public influence, and networks to draw attention to the insecurity concerns facing the people.

Opeyemi Aiyeola’s plea on rising insecurity follows reports of gunmen attacking schools in the Ahoro Esinele community in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, where pupils, students, and teachers were reportedly abducted from different institutions.

Her remarks have since sparked conversations online about the role of celebrities and public figures in speaking out during periods of national crisis.
