Nigerian actress and producer Osas Ighodaro has celebrated the latest Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards nominations for two films she executive-produced, describing the recognition as both exciting and rewarding.

Osas Ighodaro shared the news on social media, highlighting the nominations secured by 3 Cold Dishes and Colours of Fire, two projects that have gained attention within the African film industry.

Expressing gratitude, Osas Ighodaro praised the collective effort behind both productions, noting that the long hours and dedication of cast and crew had yielded a powerful outcome now recognised by the awards body.

At the forthcoming 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, 3 Cold Dishes has emerged as a strong contender, earning nominations in major categories including best movie, best screenplay, best music score and best director.

The Pan African thriller, directed by Asurf Oluseyi and written by Tomi Adesina, explores the gripping story of three women seeking justice after surviving human trafficking, a narrative that has resonated widely with audiences.

Meanwhile, Colours of Fire, directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, secured nominations in categories such as best lead actor, best supporting actor, best costume design and best art direction.

The film, which centres on themes of love, tradition and conflict between rival clans, enjoyed notable attention during its December 2025 release, particularly during the festive cinema season.

Osas Ighodaro AMVCA nominations represent a significant milestone in the actress’s growing influence behind the camera, reinforcing her evolving role as a creative force within Nollywood.
