Rita Dominic kicks off the search for the 46th Miss Nigeria, highlighting leadership, culture, and emerging fashion talent

Nollywood actress and Miss Nigeria board chairman, Rita Dominic, has officially launched the search for the 46th Miss Nigeria.

The announcement was made on Sunday via her Instagram page, coinciding with International Women’s Day.

Sharing a video, Dominic encouraged young women across the country—from Abuja to Calabar, Ibadan to Enugu to step into their moment and pursue the crown. She highlighted that the pageant is a platform that promotes leadership, culture, and opportunities for young Nigerian women.

“The search for the diamond, the 46th Miss Nigeria, has begun. The journey to the crown starts at the Miss Nigeria Beauty & Fashion Fair, where beauty meets opportunity and the future of fashion takes the stage,” she said.

The Miss Nigeria Beauty & Fashion Fair, scheduled for March 22–23, 2026, at the Grand Ballroom of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, will bring together aspiring contestants, fashion designers, and beauty entrepreneurs.

This year also marks the revival of the Daily Times Fashion Designer of the Year Award, spotlighting emerging talent shaping Nigeria’s fashion industry.

Dominic emphasized that the event is not only a celebration of beauty but also a platform for empowering young women and nurturing creative talent in fashion and culture.
