The award ceremony took place on Thursday in Lagos, with NFVCB director General Shuaibu Husseini and Olori Temitope Ogunwusi, wife of the Ooni of Ife, in attendance.

In a statement shared publicly, Abraham described the recognition as a “huge honour” and expressed heartfelt appreciation to her fans, partners, and supporters.

“Today, the National Film and Video Censors Board hosted me and presented me with a recognition award for grossing over a billion naira at the box office, and for being the first solo director to achieve such a feat with a debut project,” Abraham said.

The actress also highlighted the impact of her movie, Oversabi Aunty, noting that it serves as a “wake-up call for families, especially mothers, to realise that there is more to raising a child than shouting or reacting dramatically.”

This accolade places Abraham alongside her colleague Funke Akindele in the elite Nollywood billionaire club, following Oversabi Aunty’s N1 billion success earlier in 2025.

The achievement adds to her growing list of honours, including the 2024 Silverbird Trailblazer award for her dynamic and fearless contributions to Nollywood.

Abraham emphasised that her journey has been challenging, but each obstacle has reinforced her determination.

She also used the platform to address critics, stating her exhaustion with individuals who undermine her hard work and creativity.
