RMD Celebrates 65th Birthday as Nollywood icon Richard Mofe-Damijo reflects on purpose, grace and a remarkable journey in the spotlight

Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) has marked his 65th birthday, reflecting on a life shaped by faith, resilience and gratitude while celebrating the experiences that have defined his personal and professional journey.

The celebrated actor shared his thoughts on Monday through his Instagram page, thanking God for the milestone and expressing appreciation for the opportunities, challenges and relationships that have shaped his life.

RMD said reaching the age of 65 had given him time to reflect on purpose, growth and the value of perseverance.

“65 years of Purpose. Presence. Grace. I’ve lived long enough to know that life owes us nothing… Yet, by God’s grace, it has given me everything that truly matters,” he wrote.

The actor highlighted the privilege of pursuing his dreams, the courage required to begin new chapters and the strength gained through life’s challenges.

“The privilege to dream. The courage to begin. The strength to endure. The wisdom to evolve. The grace to remain,” RMD added.

He also expressed appreciation for the people who have been part of his journey, acknowledging the lessons learned and the support received throughout his career.

“For every lesson. For every season. For every soul that has walked this journey with me… I am deeply grateful. The journey continues,” he said.

Fans, colleagues and well-wishers across the entertainment industry flooded the actor’s social media page with congratulatory messages, prayers and tributes celebrating his impact on Nigerian film and popular culture.

RMD remains one of Nollywood’s most respected figures, having built a career spanning decades as an actor, producer and public figure.

The birthday celebration comes after several personal milestones for the actor, including his long-standing marriage to Jumobi Mofe-Damijo, with whom he recently marked more than two decades together.
