The outspoken entertainer made the remarks via his Instagram Story on Tuesday, where he reacted to ongoing national conversations around insecurity and governance in Nigeria.

In his post, Teddy A questioned the utilisation of the state’s security allocation, claiming that Oyo State receives substantial federal funds annually for security purposes.

He wrote:
“Oyo State gets 12 billion naira annually for security vote from the federation, that’s 84 billion naira in seven years. Yet Governor Seyi Makinde can’t provide security for his people. He is instead playing politics with the lives of his people for his presidential ambition”.

The comments have generated attention online, with supporters and critics engaging in heated debate over the claims and the broader issue of security funding transparency in Nigeria.

While some social media users echoed concerns about insecurity in parts of the country, others cautioned against unverified financial interpretations and political statements made on public platforms.
