Linda Ejiofor reveals she once feared her acting career was stagnant before a breakthrough that led to her AMVCA wins in 2026

Speaking in an interview with Nollywire, conducted by her husband and fellow actor Ibrahim Suleiman, Ejiofor said she experienced a difficult phase in her career about three years ago, when she felt her progress in the film industry had slowed significantly.

During that period, the actress said she turned to prayer, asking for direction and a renewed opportunity in her profession.

“Three years ago, I thought my career was stagnant and not going anywhere, and I asked God for something, anything. And He gave me two beautiful stories,” she said.

Ejiofor explained that shortly after that phase of doubt, she was cast in two film roles that later became pivotal to her career resurgence and renewed visibility in Nollywood.

She also credited her husband for his emotional support during her lowest moments, noting that he consistently encouraged her performances even when she struggled with self-doubt.

“I am so grateful to God, grateful to my husband because he stood by me through this. He told me that I did well in both movies. To be honest, I didn’t believe him,” she added.
