In a heartfelt interview with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the Nollywood actress and producer explained how her decision to marry fellow actor Adeniyi Johnson went against her family’s spiritual warnings.

“My family wasn’t in support,” she admitted. “They prayed and got a revelation that it wouldn’t work, but I was stubborn. I didn’t listen.” The marriage lasted just two years before ending in divorce, a chapter she now views as a lesson in self-discovery and spiritual growth.

Today, Toyin Abraham is married to Kolawole Ajeyemi, also an actor and filmmaker. She spoke with warmth and gratitude about their relationship, highlighting how it grew naturally through friendship, shared work experiences, and a renewed reliance on faith.

“In real life, he’s very calm,” she said. “Whenever I’m in Abeokuta, he’s always there. We got close over time. I didn’t want anyone to know initially, but I grew fond of him.”

Their connection blossomed quietly until it became clear it was more than a passing bond. “I started going with him to work, and eventually, we introduced ourselves to our families. Then I got pregnant, and the marriage followed.”

This time, her family sought spiritual confirmation before she walked down the aisle again. “I come from a Christian home, and my family prayed again.

This time, they received confirmation that he was truly my husband,” she said. The couple now share two children, a son and a daughter, whom Toyin describes as blessings.
