Nollywood actor Yomi Gold has spoken emotionally about his business struggles, saying early losses from his venture in the United States will not prevent him from moving forward.

The actor, who reportedly stepped away from acting to pursue a goat-selling business in the US, shared his reflections on Instagram, admitting that some financial setbacks cannot be recovered but insisting that the experience has given him valuable lessons.

The business loss revelation came as the actor marked a difficult chapter in his entrepreneurial journey, describing the challenges as part of a process that has strengthened his determination.

“Early losses in business can’t hold me down. Some losses can never be recovered, and I’ve accepted that,” Yomi Gold wrote.

He said the experience had taught him important lessons that were more valuable than the money lost, adding that he would not allow past difficulties to determine his future.

“Every setback has taught me valuable lessons, and those lessons are worth more than what was lost,” he said.

The actor explained that he is now focused on rebuilding with greater knowledge, stronger determination and renewed confidence.

“I refuse to let the past define my future. I’m moving forward with greater wisdom, stronger determination, and unwavering faith in what lies ahead,” he added.

Yomi Gold concluded his message by describing the setback as a closed chapter and expressing optimism about future opportunities.

“The chapter of loss is closed. The chapter of growth, resilience, and new opportunities has begun,” he said.

The actor’s decision to explore business outside the entertainment industry previously attracted public attention, particularly after reports that he had ventured into goat trading in the United States while reducing his involvement in Nollywood projects.

His latest comments highlight the realities many entertainers face when transitioning into entrepreneurship, where success often comes with uncertainty, financial risks and periods of adjustment.
