Yul Edochie’s comment regards peter obi contesting for president via the actor’s official X account on Tuesday, where Yul Edochie dismissed Peter Obi’s political strength and ongoing involvement in coalition efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Yul argued that any political platform associated with Peter Obi would struggle to succeed, describing reported links between the former candidate and the African Democratic Congress as ineffective.

“Any political party Peter Obi joins will scatter. Whatever he’s doing with ADC is dead on arrival. A total waste of time,” Yul Edochie wrote.

Yul Edochie further suggested that the challenges surrounding Peter Obi’s ambitions go beyond visible political factors, describing them as deeper and more complex.

“It’s not a physical problem. It’s deeper than that. I’m surprised he doesn’t know this already. Or maybe he knows but chooses to ignore it. But the truth remains the truth. Peter Obi cannot be President of Nigeria now,” Yul Edochie added.

The remarks come amid increasing political manoeuvring ahead of the 2027 elections, with discussions around opposition alliances gaining momentum.

Yul Edochie, a known supporter of Bola Tinubu, also suggested that Peter Obi’s presence in coalition-building efforts could weaken rather than strengthen such platforms.
