Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has found himself at the center of another backlash after publicly expressing his unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Edochie’s statement comes in the midst of various hardships being faced by the nation. This marks the fourth instance in which Edochie has reached out to President Tinubu.

Taking to his official Instagram account, Yul Edochie emphasised his belief in Tinubu’s wisdom and leadership prowess.

The actor noted that leaders often have access to crucial information that might not be available to the general populace, which could lead to decisions that may not be immediately comprehensible to all.

Edochie extended his understanding to Tinubu, acknowledging that some decisions could be in the best interest of the people, despite public scrutiny.

Edochie’s statement read, “As a leader, you will see certain things that your people may never see. You will have access to certain information that you people may never have access to. So some of your decisions may not be fully understood by the people, even though they’re in the best interest of the people. You have my support, sir. @officialasiwajubat. I know you’re a man of wisdom. May God guide you in all the decisions you take for Nigeria. Best wishes, Mr. President”.

However, this show of support did not sit well with some of Yul Edochie‘s fans, who took to the comment section of his post to express their strong disapproval. One fan, in a scathing comment, criticized Edochie’s behavior and claimed that his actions were a result of his marriage to a second wife, referencing derogatory terms and questioning Edochie’s intelligence.
