Adunni Ade has won her defamation case against a media outlet that falsely linked her to an alleged affair with Senator Dino Melaye, marking a major personal and professional victory for the Nollywood star.

The actress announced the outcome on her Instagram page, expressing gratitude to the Nigerian judicial system for upholding truth and integrity.

“Won my case Adunni Ade vs Polace… A false story was published about me, but truth stood tall. This judgment reaffirms that privacy matters – and so does integrity,” she wrote. “Justice delayed isn’t justice denied.

Two cases won, a few more to go. You who is running up and down avoiding court papers, please stand still, so that you can be served.”

The lawsuit, filed two years ago, stemmed from a viral report that listed Adunni among six Nigerian celebrities alleged to have had an affair with Senator Melaye.

The court’s ruling has now cleared her name, affirming that the publication’s claims were unfounded and defamatory.

Adunni Ade used the occasion to call for greater respect for celebrity privacy, stressing that false narratives can damage reputations and cause emotional distress.

Her fans and industry colleagues have since flooded her page with congratulatory messages, celebrating what many described as a victory for truth and dignity in Nigerian entertainment.
