Temi Ajibade drops Otedola surname after marriage, says it was a personal choice while expressing joy about life with singer Mr Eazi

Temi Ajibade drops Otedola surname as she embraces her new identity following marriage to singer Mr Eazi. The actress and fashion influencer revealed in a recent BBC interview that the decision was simply a matter of personal choice.

“It’s not anything I thought about before. Obviously, when I’m now a married woman, the obvious thing for me is to take my husband’s name but it’s my personal choice,” Temi explained.

She stressed that while she was happy to adopt her husband’s surname, she respected women who made different choices. “It’s what I’m comfortable and happy doing but I respect a woman’s ability to choose,” she added.

On her relationship with Mr Eazi, Temi described the singer as her “best friend” and “her person,” emphasising that their bond made marriage a natural decision.

“First and foremost, he’s my best friend, that’s my person and I think when you meet your person you know. I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life with anybody else,” she said.

Looking ahead, Temi expressed excitement about building a life together.

“He’s the person that I’m excited and can’t wait to spend every day with, build our lives, work through ups and downs, and celebrate together. He’s simply my person.”
