Ali Nuhu death rumour dismissed as fake by Nigerian Film Corporation, confirming the Kannywood legend is alive and active in his duties

Ali Nuhu Death Rumour was firmly dismissed late Monday by the Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC), after viral social media claims alleged that the Kannywood legend and NFC Managing Director had died in a car accident.

The rumours, which spread rapidly across Facebook and WhatsApp, even included videos of supposed mourning. But the NFC’s Director of Public Affairs, Brian Etuk, called the claims a complete fabrication.

“Ali Nuhu is alive, well, and fully discharging his duties as Managing Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation,” Etuk stated.

He condemned the false reports as “malicious and injurious,” warning that those behind the fake news would face consequences.

“These dastardly acts, no matter how ‘innocent’ they appear, will not go unpunished. Measures are already in motion to track down the perpetrators and their sponsors,” he added.

The Corporation urged Nigerians to ignore the rumour and rest assured that Ali Nuhu remains very much alive and actively serving in his role since his appointment by President Bola Tinubu in February 2024.

The false news caused panic among fans and industry stakeholders, but the NFC’s clarification brought relief, confirming that the celebrated actor-turned-film boss continues his work without interruption.
