Annie Idibia Reunion Rumours dismissed as the actress clarifies that viral videos suggesting a return with 2Baba are old footage

Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has dismissed speculation that she has reunited with her estranged husband, Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, after an old video of the former couple resurfaced online.

The actress addressed the Annie Idibia Reunion Rumours in a post shared on her Instagram Stories on Monday, explaining that the videos circulating on social media were outdated and being wrongly presented as recent events.

“Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere,” Annie wrote.

The rumours began spreading after a video showing Annie and 2Baba sharing an affectionate moment at a nightclub gained attention online on Friday, July 17. The footage prompted speculation among fans that the pair had repaired their relationship.

However, Annie’s response indicated that the viral clip did not represent a recent reunion and was instead old content being recirculated.

Annie and 2Baba, who have two daughters together, announced the end of their marriage in January 2025 after more than a decade of marriage.

The separation followed years of public attention surrounding their relationship, which had remained one of Nigeria’s most closely followed celebrity marriages.

Since their split, 2Baba has moved forward with his personal life and is now married to Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker from Edo State.
