Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has opened up about a recent dating experience with a UK-based man, revealing that his lack of effort made her question his intentions.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, Nkechi Blessing described how she stopped chatting with the man after a minor car accident damaged two of her tyres.

When he later reached out to ask why she had gone silent, he seemed unaware of the incident.

“When I told him about the accident, his only response was to ask if I was fine before abruptly ending the conversation,” she said, explaining that his reaction made her feel he had no genuine concern for her well-being.

The actress stressed that she was not seeking financial assistance but expected a partner to show care or support in moments that matter. Hours later, the man asked if she had “sorted it out,” to which she replied she had purchased new tyres herself.

Nkechi contrasted this with a male friend in Abuja who, upon hearing she had work in the city, immediately offered to cover her hotel costs.

Even after she declined, he insisted on arranging it, highlighting what she described as a clear example of a man who genuinely cares.

She concluded by emphasising that while she values her independence, she will not date someone who cannot demonstrate effort and the ability to support her when necessary.
