Once determined to become one of Nigeria’s leading broadcasters, Aderinoye has instead found his calling in the vibrant world of Nollywood.

Born in Abeokuta, the calm and eloquent actor began his career in radio, working with stations like Diamond FM in Ibadan, Rock City FM and OGBC in Abeokuta, and OSBC in Osun State.

Despite his early passion for broadcasting, fate redirected him toward acting in 2017, a decision he now describes as part of God’s plan.

Reflecting on his growth, Aderinoye credits his training under Nollywood star Odunlade Adekola. He describes himself as a “raw material” refined by Adekola’s discipline and principles.

That mentorship, he says, shaped not just his acting skills but also his values in the industry.

Like many actors, his path has not been without challenges. “Nollywood is not easy,” he admits. “There are always ups and downs, but resilience ensures the challenges don’t keep you down. Every challenge can serve as motivation.”

While he has considered returning to broadcasting during difficult times, Aderinoye insists that passion keeps him in Nollywood.

His fluency in English could have opened doors in another sector of the industry, but his Yoruba roots and proximity to Odunlade Adekola Film Production made his path clear.

Beyond acting, Aderinoye also speaks about the importance of constructive criticism in filmmaking. Having reviewed movies himself, he stresses that criticism should guide improvement rather than simply point out flaws.

And when it comes to the intense attention he receives from admirers, Aderinoye maintains a grounded view. “It’s a privilege,” he says. “But being loved shouldn’t be exploited. Instead, it’s about giving back and impacting people positively.”
