Actress Biodun Okeowo vows to make a scapegoat of a man who called her a thief after a misunderstanding over a property advert

The Yoruba movie star, popularly known as Omo Butty, shared a video on Instagram promoting a landed property, mistakenly stating in her caption that it was worth ₦50 million.

Fans quickly pointed out that her colleague, Biola Bayo, had advertised the same property at ₦40 million.

One man, believed to be connected to the film industry, took to her comment section to call her “a thief agent,” a remark that infuriated the actress.

Reacting angrily, Biodun Okeowo declared she would make him a scapegoat, insisting he must prove his claim or face the consequences.

“That guy sitting beside Aunty Jaiye Kuti just called me a thief over a property he doesn’t even know the owner of. I’m going to use you as a scapegoat.

You must prove that I’m a thief, else…” she wrote.

The actress’s outburst comes amid a series of personal and social media incidents in recent months.

Weeks earlier, she revealed that she and her husband were being stalked by someone allegedly obsessed with them. She also clashed with a troll who questioned her relationship with comedian and actor Cute Abiola, blaming false bloggers for fuelling baseless rumours.

Beyond controversies, Okeowo has continued to share motivational messages with her followers. She recently urged fans not to give up during hard times, reminding them that “battles don’t last forever.”

She also commended music executive Don Jazzy for his generosity after he donated millions to help her ailing fan, praying that God would bless him abundantly.

In her reflective posts, Okeowo has shared parenting advice, warning parents to prioritise bonding and laughter with their children. She also prayed for expectant mothers while wearing a fake baby bump, declaring that their long-awaited joy would come before the year ends.
