Nollywood actor Daniel Etim-Effiong has shared a deeply personal account of his father’s arrest and trial by the Nigerian military, revealing the emotional family history during an appearance on the Diary of a Naija Girl podcast.

According to him, his father’s troubles began when a close associate within the army revealed details of a plan to overthrow the administration and later implicated him during interrogation.

Daniel’s father arrest ordeal escalated when his father was arrested, tried, and sentenced to death by firing squad, following the military investigation.
