Darey Art Alade car fire incident has left the Nigerian music icon and his wife, Deola, expressing immense gratitude for their safety after their vehicle was completely destroyed in a frightening blaze on Lagos’ Third Mainland Bridge on Friday.

Deola Art Alade took to Instagram to share the harrowing moment, posting shocking videos of their Range Rover engulfed in flames, which ultimately reduced the luxury vehicle to ashes. Despite the dramatic scenes, thankfully, no one was harmed in the incident.

“It was a shocking and painful experience, but we’re incredibly grateful that the driver made it out safely,” Deola wrote on her social media, conveying their relief. “No lives were lost, and that’s what truly matters.”

Clips from the scene captured thick smoke billowing from the engine as passersby bravely attempted to help contain the inferno. Firefighters later arrived and successfully extinguished the blaze, but by then, the vehicle was tragically beyond saving.

While visibly shaken by the ordeal, Deola used the opportunity to offer a profound reflection on the fragility of life and the inherently temporary nature of material possessions.

“Moments like this remind us how quickly things can change and how unimportant material things become in the face of life itself,” she shared.

“We’re not sharing this for sympathy but to remind someone that things can be replaced. Lives cannot.” The couple’s message serves as a powerful reminder amidst the unexpected and destructive event.
