Nollywood actress Ebele Okaro, on Thursday, June 5, 2026, announced that the film On Different Grounds, in which she features, has been officially selected for screening at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) 2026, marking a significant international milestone for the production.

Ebele Okaro shared the news via her Instagram page, describing the selection as a proud and uplifting moment for the cast and crew involved in the project.

The actress expressed excitement over the film’s inclusion in the global festival lineup, noting it as a powerful recognition of their creative effort.

On Different Grounds is a romantic comedy drama produced by Nicolette Ndigwe-Kalu under HB&Q Impressions, with distribution handled by Cinemax.

The film brings together a diverse cast and crew, reflecting a growing trend of cross cultural storytelling within Nollywood.

The storyline follows a divorced billionaire couple who are compelled to reunite for their daughter’s wedding, a situation that exposes long buried tensions and family secrets.

The narrative also explores a cross cultural dynamic blending Nigerian and Indian influences, adding depth to its emotional and thematic structure.

The film features an ensemble cast including Ebele Okaro, Nkem Owoh, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Jennifer Eliogu, Uche Jombo, Uche Montana, Ifeanyi Kalu, as well as Indian actors Vineet Raina and Nimesh Diliprai, highlighting its international creative collaboration.
