Etinosa Idemudia reacts to Chike Controversy, speaking on adultery and criticising double standards amid celebrity drama
Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has weighed in on the ongoing controversy surrounding singer Chike and the reported marital issues involving Frank Edoho’s wife, Sandra Onyenucheya, in a statement shared on her Instagram page on Monday, adding her voice to the expanding Etinosa Idemudia Chike Controversy debate.
Etinosa Idemudia addressed the trending discussions by condemning what she described as societal double standards in judging adultery, stressing that accountability should apply equally regardless of gender.
In her post, the actress stated that the idea of adultery should not be treated as a one sided issue, adding that both married men and women should regard their bodies as sacred and uphold moral responsibility within marriage.
She further urged the public to end what she called selective moral judgement, insisting that fairness should guide conversations around relationships and fidelity.
“The abomination of adultery is not for only one gender, sir. As a married woman’s body is a sacred temple, so also is a married man’s body. Stop the double standards. What’s good for the goose is also good for the gander,” she wrote.
Her comments come amid ongoing public debate triggered by leaked audio recordings and social media claims involving Sandra Onyenucheya and singer Chike, which have continued to generate widespread reactions across entertainment circles.
The situation has also led to competing narratives online, including allegations of infidelity, emotional strain in marriage and public exchanges involving individuals linked to the controversy, all of which remain unverified in parts.
As discussions intensified, several public figures and entertainers have also reacted, contributing to a broader national conversation about marriage, loyalty and accountability.
Comedian MC Lively previously commented on perceived inconsistencies in how infidelity cases are judged between genders, while media personality Pretty Mike warned against engaging in relationships with married individuals, citing long term consequences.
OAP Do2dtun also stated that cheating should not be excused under any circumstance, urging the public to avoid justifying wrongdoing regardless of the individuals involved.
Former BBNaija housemate Tuoyo described relationships involving married partners as unacceptable, while BBNaija star Tochi reflected on changing attitudes toward marriage and accountability in modern society.
Public commentator Ossai Success also criticised the situation, describing the individuals involved in the controversy as facing damaging reputational consequences.
Meanwhile, Frank Edoho has publicly acknowledged the breakdown of his marriage, stating that he has come to terms with the situation and remains focused on moving forward.
As conversations continue online, the Etinosa Idemudia Chike Controversy remains one of the most discussed entertainment topics, with opinions sharply divided across social media platforms.
