Handicapped Nollywood actor and comedian Jigan Baba Oja has stirred reactions online after he took to singer Asake’s handle to call him out.

In the call-out, Jigan asks Asake to pick a date and location to meet and have a boxing fight as he intends to settle their beef as men.

Yoruba comic actor Jigan Baba Oja trends online as he calls out Asake for a boxing fight for using his deformed leg in his song.

Asake in reaction to the calling out shared and a love and boxing glove emoji, which some have termed as him accepting the challenge from Jigan.

Recall that in Jigan’s earlier reaction to the song, he threatened that he would break Asake’s leg.

Renowned Nollywood director and screenwriter, Reginald Ebere, is dead.

 

Veteran actor Segun Arinze broke the tragic news on Nollywood Giants, a WhatsApp platform for prominent Nigerian entertainers, according to Press.

The National Secretary of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), Perekeme Odon, also confirmed Ebere’s death.

 

The industry is deeply mourning this loss. “We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of our dear brother and colleague, Mr. Reginald Ebere,” Odon said in his announcement.

Aba Market under fire for copying Zlatan Ibile’s clothing brand

Twitter influencer and doctor, Dr. Penking, has criticized the Aba market for replicating singer Zlatan Ibile’s clothing brand.

On May 19, 2024, Zlatan announced the launch of his clothing brand and the opening of his store, ZTTW Shop.

However, less than 24 hours after the launch, Aba market began producing replicas of his clothing brand, which are quickly spreading online.

Dr. Penking expressed his disappointment, pointing out that Zlatan had invested over N237 billion in the brand. He questioned how the singer would recover his investment with counterfeit products flooding the market.

“Zlatan spent 237 billion Naira to open this ZTTW store, only for Aba to start counterfeiting his style in less than 24 hours. No pity at all. How will he recoup all that money?”

Banky W survives fourth surgery for skin cancer

Nigerian singer cum politician, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has successfully undergone a fourth surgery for skin cancer.

The Empire Mates Entertainment boss disclosed this via his Instagram page on Thursday.

He noted that he decided to share the testimony online to encourage others who are passing through challenges.

The ‘Lagos Party’ crooner wrote, “Final Score Christ 4 Cancer Tumors 0.

“Sometimes, your faith in God will not prevent the storms from coming… but it will carry you through them. Faith won’t always stop you from hurting, but it will help you heal, and it will help you deal.

“God never said the weapons wouldn’t form, He promised that they wouldn’t prosper. He never said the enemy wouldn’t come… He promised that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of God would raise a standard against him.

“Posting this testimony to encourage anyone out there who is going through a challenge. It might seem bigger than you, but greater is He that is in you than anything you will face in this world.”

The singer appreciated his wife, family, friends, pastors, and doctors for their “love, prayers, and support”.

He added, “We have the victory yet again. Now and forever, in Jesus’ name.”

Banky W had undergone a third cancer surgery in 2017.

He had stated then that he treated a rare strain of skin cancer which resurfaced after it first appeared 10 years earlier.
