Ini Dima-Okojie has reflected on the challenges of managing multiple fibroids during pregnancy after welcoming her first child

Nigerian actress Ini Dima-Okojie has shared an emotional reflection on her journey to motherhood, revealing that she navigated pregnancy while living with multiple fibroids before safely welcoming her first child.

The Nollywood star opened up in a video shared on Instagram on Sunday, describing the experience as both beautiful and demanding as she looked back on the months leading to the birth of her baby boy.

Ini Dima-Okojie said becoming a mother was a blessing she would cherish forever, despite the physical, emotional and mental challenges she faced throughout her pregnancy.

“What a magical journey. My lips cannot stop saying, ‘Thank You, God.’ Watching my body make room for my son, and witnessing God’s hand over every step of the journey is something I’ll treasure forever,” she wrote.

The actress disclosed that carrying her baby while managing multiple fibroids tested her in ways many people did not see, even though she often appeared cheerful in public.

“It wasn’t always easy. Carrying a baby while navigating multiple fibroids is a story for another day. There were moments that stretched me physically, mentally, and emotionally. There were days that felt really hard,” she said.

Reflecting on the reactions she received during her pregnancy, Ini Dima-Okojie noted that many people believed the experience had been effortless because of the smile she wore throughout.

“People told me, ‘You looked so happy,’ ‘You were glowing,’ or ‘You made pregnancy look so easy.’ If only you knew,” she added.

The actress credited her safe delivery to God’s faithfulness, saying every medical appointment, anxious moment, prayer and milestone reminded her of divine support.

“But God… He was faithful through every appointment, every anxious moment, every prayer, and every milestone. Looking back now, all I see is His goodness. Everything truly ended in praise,” she wrote.

Ini Dima-Okojie recently welcomed her first child, a baby boy, shortly after celebrating her birthday, with the announcement attracting congratulatory messages from colleagues, fans and well-wishers across social media.
