Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has cautioned today’s digital generation about the dangers of pursuing viral fame regardless of the consequences

In a series of Instagram story posts, the screen legend reflected on how easily quick online attention can be gained, often through controversial or sensational acts.

“Just say or do something out of the norm… insult someone important or go nude… so easy, so desperate, so cheap,” Omotola wrote.

Stop! Before becoming slaves to the algorithm. Think again.

She then posed a powerful question to her followers, asking what they are willing to sacrifice for fleeting popularity: “Your values? Your morals? Your conscience? Your mind?”

Rather than simply criticizing, Omotola urged young people to pause and reconsider their choices. “Stop! Before becoming slaves to the algorithm. Think again,” she advised.
