The Iyabo Ojo N224m box office success comes against the backdrop of recent controversies surrounding the actress and her associates.

At the film’s premiere, a viral clip showed Funke Akindele appearing to ignore greetings from Toyin Abraham, sparking online reactions.

Addressing the backlash, Iyabo Ojo said she had previously intervened in efforts to reconcile both actresses but would no longer involve herself in their dispute. She urged critics to respect her decision.

Her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, also defended her, alleging a pattern of controversies aimed at undermining the film’s success.

She said narratives are often distorted whether her mother speaks out or remains silent.

In a separate clarification, Iyabo Ojo distanced herself from a fan accused of defrauding others, stating that she had no formal working relationship with the individual.

She also addressed past claims linking her to the promotion of traditional products, denying any involvement and reiterating that her support for businesses has always been legitimate.

Despite the distractions, the actress maintained focus on her film’s performance, describing the strong box office showing as a powerful moment for her career.
