Speed Darlington’s lawyer, Stan Alieke, accuses the police of disobeying a court order that granted the singer bail, expressing frustration over his continued detention.

Stan Alieke, the lawyer representing the embattled singer Speed Darlington, has voiced his frustration over his client’s continued detention, despite being granted bail by the Federal High Court on December 23, 2024.

The singer, who was rearrested on November 27 for allegedly cyberstalking Burna Boy, has sparked outrage among his supporters and legal team due to the police’s failure to obey the court order.

In an Instagram video, Alieke expressed that he has exhausted all his legal and political connections to secure Darlington’s release.

He accused the police of deliberately ignoring the court’s decision and hinted that Burna Boy might have influenced the authorities.

“We have done everything a lawyer should do to get his client out. I have even exhausted all my connections. I have reached out to my political friends here in Abuja.

The police have refused to obey the court order,” Alieke stated, visibly frustrated. He further mentioned a previous encounter where Burna Boy allegedly shared cash with the police, adding to his suspicion that Darlington’s detention might be linked to external influence.

Alieke’s claims have stirred debate, as many question why the police are not adhering to the court’s ruling, and whether there is any truth to his allegations.
