Speaking on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Solade explained that the turning point came in 2013 when a pastor at his former church instructed him to reject acting jobs scheduled on Sundays.

The directive, he said, clashed with his career and livelihood, leaving him uncomfortable. “That same work he wanted me to avoid is what puts money in my pocket and allows me to give offerings.

That was when I decided to stop,” Solade recalled.

The actor stressed that his decision was not a rejection of faith but a conscious step to avoid unhealthy pressures that interfered with his personal growth and productivity.

“If you see me in a church, it’s probably because we’re filming,” he said, adding that his peace of mind has improved since leaving church committees and constant programs behind.

Contrary to the belief that life without church attendance leads to misfortune, Solade emphasized that his life has remained stable and even more peaceful. He noted that his focus on family and acting has sharpened without the distractions.

“A notion that if you don’t attend church, one’s life will nosedive, I have not seen anything change. Rather, I have peace, I do well,” he added.
