Famous Nigerian rapper, Jude Abaga, aka MI has opened his arms to Haitian-American rapper, Wyclef Jean as he welcomes him to Jos, the Plateau State capital. In a video on X, MI also announced that Wyclef will be performing at the Incredible Music Festival happening on New Year’s Day.

“It gives me great honour to welcome to the city of Jos, the legendary, the prophet, the preacher’s son, like myself, someone that has meant so much to African music, someone who Sound Sultan of blessed memory called his cousin.

“We celebrate him as he announces this amazing innovation centre that he and his firm are investing in Plateau State and his participation in the Incredible Music Festival happening New Year’s Day. We welcome him. It’s going to be a beautiful time. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s going down in Jtown,” he said.

Earlier, Wyclef had announced a partnership between himself, the Caribbean International Commerce (CICH) and Plateau State, Nigeria. This collaboration marks the initiation of an extraordinary project that combines innovation, sustainability, and a dash of star power.

Jean teamed up with CICH to secure the very first Hub agreement along with 4,000+ hectares of land in Plateau State, Nigeria. The venture, he said, is poised to revolutionise not only the local economy but also the global landscape.

The hub will serve as a creative incubator, providing emerging talent with access to world-class studios, thus catalysing the evolution of the music and film industry. It will also harness the power of renewable energy sources. The project is a shining example of how modern technology can coexist harmoniously with our planet.

On the agreement with Plateau State, Wyclef Jean said; “This partnership represents a fusion of creativity, sustainability, and economic empowerment. We’re bringing the music of innovation to the world, and the world to the music of Nigeria. Together, we’re creating harmony in both art and commerce.
