Mo Bimpe reveals painful exclusion from baby events before motherhood and encourages women trying to conceive to remain hopeful

Nollywood actress Mo Bimpe has opened up about the painful experience of being excluded from baby showers, naming ceremonies and children’s birthday celebrations because she had no child at the time.

Bimpe shared the experience on social media on Monday, August 31, 2026, while reflecting on her journey to motherhood and encouraging women who are currently trying to conceive.

The actress said some of the people who excluded her were individuals she personally knew and cared about, making the experience particularly difficult.

“There was a time when I wasn’t invited to baby showers, naming ceremonies, children’s birthdays, or anything related to kids,” she said.

Bimpe said the exclusion was painful because she genuinely loved children and wanted to share in the happiness of friends and acquaintances rather than be treated differently because she had not yet become a mother.

She urged people to be more considerate towards women who are waiting to have children, warning that excluding them from family and social celebrations can deepen an already difficult experience.

“Please don’t make it harder by excluding people. A woman without a child is not less deserving of love, friendship, inclusion, or celebration,” she said.

The actress also used her personal experience to offer encouragement to women facing similar circumstances, stressing that life situations can change in unexpected ways.

“There was a time I had no child. Today, I am a mother of triplets,” Bimpe said.

Her message has resonated as a reminder of the emotional pressures that can accompany childlessness, particularly in social settings where motherhood is often treated as a defining milestone for women.

Bimpe encouraged women who are still waiting to become mothers not to lose hope, drawing from her own journey as an example of how circumstances can change.

“The same God who remembered me has not forgotten you,” she added.
