Actors Guild of Nigeria visits Monalisa Chinda to offer prayers and support after the passing of her brother

Abubakar Yakubu, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), led a condolence visit to actress Monalisa Chinda on Wednesday, following the death of her brother.

The delegation included the National Secretary and members of the AGN Presidential Cabinet.

The visit, shared on AGN’s official Instagram page, offered support, prayers, and comfort to Chinda and her family during their period of mourning.

In a heartfelt message, the guild expressed solidarity, saying: “Words may never truly capture the depth of grief that comes with losing a loved one. On behalf of the entire AGN family, we share in your pain and mourn with you.”

Chinda, a veteran Nollywood actress and former Director of Communications for the guild, has faced multiple personal losses in recent years.

In 2025, she lost her mother, whom she described as her pillar, and shared tributes thanking colleagues and friends for their support.

Known for her extensive work in Nigerian cinema, Chinda has been a key figure in the industry both on-screen and behind the scenes.
