Jeff Owolewa disclosed that the actor fell into a coma and was placed on oxygen support as his condition worsened.

In the days preceding his final hospitalisation, Okemesi had been weak, resting most of the weekend and eating very little, with family efforts spanning multiple hospitals before the final diagnosis.

Weeks prior to the health crisis, Okemesi had appealed for assistance, citing illness and unstable living conditions.

Supporters helped him secure accommodation and some medical support, underscoring the communal respect and admiration he had earned.

Okemesi was celebrated for his comedy skits and performances in Yoruba language films and online productions, leaving a lasting mark on Nigeria’s entertainment landscape.
